About

Why faith and conservation?

Who we are:

Faith in Conservation was created by Peter Rowe, a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. At Edinburgh, Peter's research explores how faith-based relationships shape environmental stewardship efforts in Kenya. Peter believes that, far from being on the periphery of conservation practice, faith is a force that not only motivates, but at times fundamentally shapes conservation efforts across the globe. He is eager to bring these stories to light in an effort to demonstrate the concomitant nature of faith and conservation, and by doing so, raise the profile of faith and faith communities in mainstream conservation movements.
